NY Lawyer Who Threatened to Call ICE on Spanish Speakers: ‘I Am Not a Racist’

Aaron Schlossberg, the New York City lawyer who was caught on camera threatening to call ICE on workers speaking Spanish in a sandwich shop, tweeted out an apology Tuesday afternoon and claimed he is not racist. “To the people I insulted, I apologize...What the video did not convey is the real me. I am not a racist.” he wrote. “One of the reasons I moved to New York is precisely because of the remarkable diversity offered in this wonderful city. I love this country and this city, in part because of immigrants and the diversity of cultures immigrants bring to this country.” Schlossberg went on a tirade in a Midtown sandwich shop, threatening to call ICE on employees who were speaking Spanish in the store. Since then, news outlets have unearthed other videos showing him yelling at foreigners and anti-Trump protesters.
