    Stan Lee’s Celeb ‘Superheroes’ Pay Tribute to Their Creator

    Marvel Cinematic Universe stars are paying tribute to Stan Lee after his death Monday morning. Actor Hugh Jackman—who played X-Men character Wolverine—wrote on Twitter: “We’ve lost a creative genius. Stan Lee was a pioneering force in the superhero universe. I’m proud to have been a small part of his legacy and .... to have helped bring one of his characters to life.” The Avengers’ Captain America, also known as Chris Evans, said there will never be another like him. “For decades he provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy,” he tweeted. “He exuded love and kindness and will leave an indelible mark on so, so, so many lives. Excelsior!!” Sebastian Stan, who plays Captain America's best friend Bucky Barnes, wrote in an Instagram post that he “wouldn’t be here without” Lee. Iron Man’s Robert Downey Jr. paid tribute by posting a photo of himself with Lee. “I owe it all to you,,, Rest In Peace Stan,” the actor wrote in the caption. In an Instagram post, one of MCU’s newest members, Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Tom Holland, called Lee the “father of Marvel” who “made so many people so incredibly happy.” Another new member of the MCU, Venom's Tom Hardy, posted a Instagram photo of him posting with Lee and wrote, “With the greatest of respect.” Deadpool’s Ryan Reynold’s also thanked Lee for “everything” on Twitter.
